Last Thursday cyclists descended on Bangor for the Final of the Seat Super 7 Criterium Series. This event ran from 3rd June, starting in Newry and ending on 13th August in Bangor. The other venues were Derry/Londonderry, Antrim, Newtownards, Banbridge and Titanic Quarter, Belfast. Roads in the town centre were closed and less proficient cyclists got a chance to ride on the traffic free roads prior to the race.
Unfortunately the race was abandoned when a rider was injured and had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance. I don’t know what his injuries are, at the time of writing but wish him a speedy recovery.
