Bangor Seaside Festival 1

I live in Bangor and every year there is a seaside festival in the town lasting over a weekend in June. I remember previous years as sunny and warm which may or may not be correct as I find that I tend to remember good days while the not so good fade from memory faster. I think this is the case with most people. Who remembers the bad days during the school summer holidays? This year was marked by a terrible Saturday and an okay Sunday so I’m not sure how I’ll remember it. The weather forecast had been bad for Saturday and it was spot on. It rained and rained. It alternated between drizzle and chucking it down. It just wouldn’t stop.

I’ve said before that I sympathise with the people that organise events in this country. They spend time, and money arranging things only to be absolutely shafted by the Irish weather and they do it all again the following year.

I’ve included some images below from the Saturday in black and white. Saturday was a black and white day. Images from Sunday will be posted over the next few days and I’ll do them in colour.
