365 Week One

Well the first seven images are below. As I thought it wasn’t easy but probably not as difficult as I expected. The target of posting an image every day got me thinking more, walking more and taking more photographs – so success so far. I’ve called the project 365, not very original but easy to remember.

As I said in a previous post I’ve been posting an image every day on Flickr and will continue to post the previous week’s images here each weekend. My Flickr photostream can be found here.

The first image, above, was featured in the previous post and is from a walk in Titanic Quarter.

Quattro, car, Audi, J Orr
Audi Quattro car

Number two is the front grill of an Audi Quattro car. I used to follow the Circuit of Ireland Rally, when it practically did do a Circuit of Ireland. Cars tended to be rear wheel drive and slid round bends with the rear wheels scrabbling for purchase – great entertainment and  drama for the spectators. Then the Audi Quattro arrived. It just drove round the bends, no sliding, very fast but no drama. A super car but things were never the same.

Number three was taken in my garden. A reminder that winter is coming.

Painted Cafe, Bangor

Number four is from Bangor. The front has been an eyesore for years and now there are rumours of redevelopment. In the meantime things have been brightened up a bit.

Rain, J Orr

Number five was from the garden again. It rained.

Shipyard Worker, J Orr

Number six and back to Titanic Quarter. This is one of a few sculptures near SS Nomadic. I thought they were meant to represent Shipyard Workers but there is nothing there to explain and one of the figures appears to be Charlie Chaplin.

Another Rainy Day
Another Rainy Day

Number seven and it’s raining again. This is the bonnet of a car. The pattern is caused by the roof of a carport.
